India Rest Bumrah in Final Group Game
In a strategic move ahead of the Super Eights, the Indian cricket team has decided to rest premier fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah for their final ICC T20 World Cup 2024 group stage match against Sri Lanka. The match, considered a dead rubber as India has already qualified for the next round, will see at least two changes to the playing XI. Captain Rohit Sharma confirmed at the toss that, after losing the toss and being asked to bat first, the team has made two alterations. Alongside Bumrah, all-rounder Shivam Dube has also been rested for this encounter.
